CURRENT RESEARCH PROJECT

A Multicentre Pilot Feasibility Randomised Controlled Trial of Conservative Management Strategies for Thumb Carpometacarpal Osteoarthritis

This proposed multicentre pilot feasibility randomised controlled trial aims to evaluate the feasibility, acceptability, and adherence of soft thumb strapping compared with standard conservative orthotic management for thumb carpometacarpal osteoarthritis.

The study is currently in preparatory stages. Ethical approval and trial registration will be sought prior to participant recruitment.

Findings will inform the development of a future definitive multicentre randomised controlled trial and contribute to evidence-based conservative management approaches for thumb CMC osteoarthritis.
